Summer camps at Room to Ride are centered on providing campers with a positive experience established through respect for the horse, safety for everyone, and excitement for all things equine-related.

During the week, campers will learn how to groom and tack a horse as well as how to clean and care for horse tack. Additionally, campers will be matched to a horse best suited to their riding ability, though they may be given the opportunity to ride other horses to broaden their riding experience. Campers will ride twice daily with the opportunity to trail ride on Room to Ride’s 40 acres. Furthermore, campers will be introduced to basic horse, saddle, and bridle anatomy. The goal is to give campers an idea of the many aspects of horse riding and care.

Riders will also learn horse anatomy, saddle and bridle parts and will be exposed to various aspects of horse ownership. They will also be given an overview of Colors of Riding, Room To Ride's year-round structured riding program.
