Colors of Riding (COR) is a program unique to Room To Ride that endeavors to instill confidence in its lesson students while encouraging riders to learn more about horses--not just riding. The goal is to create a well-rounded rider knowledgeable about horse care and proficient in riding. The program is divided into 3 divisions: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Intermediate, each recognized by a different color. Within each division are 3 levels: Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. Within each level is a set of riding skills the students must master. Upon completion of each level, the rider will have the opportunity to test--both written and riding--for the next level on one of several COR testing dates announced throughout the year. Successful completion of each level is marked with a personalized colored saddle pad of the next COR level.
